Basketball pics!

This was his first year to play basketball, I don't think he knew how much running he would be doing. This is his least favorite sport so far, but he knew once he was signed up there was no quittng. Much to my suprise when we asked if he wanted to play again next year he said yes!

On the way out the door to play his first basketball game!!!

Getting a break

Be ready to guard your man...

They didn't win many games but thats not what matters as long as he has fun doing it makes us happy, and the exercise is great for him!!!

Ice storm of 2010

On January 28th we had the worst ice storm this area has had in over a hundred years they said. It was horriable. I will never forget that day, they had been telling us about it on the news for a few days but the weather predictions are almost never right in Altus. Well this time they were right except it was way worse than they had predicated. They canceled school at like six that morning so they kids and I were at home and Glen was on his way to Lawton of all things for a meeting, around 11am all you could hear was ice hitting the house soon the power went out and then all you could hear was the sound of all the trees and power poles around us cracking and hitting the ground, cars, and houses. The power was out in town for 7 days, but mom and dad didn't have power for 2 weeks at least they have a generator and a fireplace though. We finally broke down and bought a generator in Lawton after not having power for 5 days. We have a gas stove so we were able to cook and we boiled pots of water to kind of warm the house we brought our mattress into the dining room so we were close to the stove. I can't ever remember the power being out in town for more that one night, let me tell you this made me appreciate all the modern things we have so much more now than I ever have and we only had to live like that for a week we are so lucky and blessed to have what we do now days.

This is the only picture I took this is the parking lot of Taco Bell its kind of dark but if you click on it you can see why the power was out for so long. They probably had about 16 bradford pear trees they were so pretty in the spring when the flowers bloomed, lets just say whats left of them now is far from pretty and thats the case for almost all the trees around i've never seen anything like what happend that day and hope we never do again.

Slades 2nd grade Valentines Day program

This year at Slades school the 2nd graders did the Valentines Day music program! They sang a bunch of really cute and funny songs.

This is the same old stage I did all my elementary school programs on, looks just like it did back then!

They got to come off the stage during this song and dance around all the parents. The program was super cute to watch!

Kaydes new hairdo!

I was kind of worried about going so short, but since we are growing out her bangs it will all be the same length faster! No need to worry it looks super cute short!

Pinewood Derby 2010 Pack 260!

I love the intense look on Slades face in this pic. This was the first race in the competition he's waiting to see if their craftmanship will payoff! Yes it did his car destroyed all the other cars over and over again!!! Slades car won First place woo... hoo...

Slade and a friend from church they all had a blast!

Slade also recieved his Bobcat badge that night can we get a round of applause!

Glen and Slade with all their bragging rights! I think Glen had just as much fun doing this with Slade at age 28 as he did when he was 8!!!

Redneck snowcow!

We were on the way to mom and dads one evening and we came across the redneck snowcow (I guess you would call it that) so the next day I happend to have my camera with me and just had to stop for a photo!!! That Blair, OK for you...

A Christmas to remember! I'm such a slacker @ this it's already the middle of March!

The kids looking so cute on the way to Church the Sunday after Christmas. If you click on this photo you see that Kaydence got a haircut. I love it short and we'er growing her bangs out, I think it makes her look older though. I still can't believe she is already five!

This is what we woke up to Christmas eve morning, a blizzard warning. I can't think any time when we have gotten that much snow. I'm not sure about Glen but this was the first time the kids and I had a white Christmas, that I can remember at least. It was so pretty and the kids had fun playing in it after the wind stoped. I know I'll never forget this years Christmas season for many reasons.

Our poor pine tree looked pretty sad for a couple of days but it survived!

Just trying to keep warm during the blizzard. He loves our dogs the brown one is Daisy, and the black dog with the giant mouth is Jake!

I love seeing him so happy, he's a great kid.

These cows are covered with ice I felt bad for them.

Getting ready to bake cookies for Santa on Christmas eve for the first time in both of their lifes. I'm not a baker in anyway so as you can see we went with the already made store bought ones for Santas sake, but they were so excited to see if he would actually come to our house it did'nt matter if we made them or bought them.

They were so excited to leave the milk and cookies out for Santa on Christmas eve, but to tell you the truth I think I was just as excited since Glen and I have never had children around at Christmas it was so special to see them so... happy and interested in the true reason for the season and all the fun things you get to do during this holiday season. It was priceless to me, children bring so much joy and happiness to a home!

This is what our tree looked like Christmas morning before the kidos woke up (This was the first year that they had a Christmas tree.) The unwapped presents are the ones Santa brough them, he even left them a note. It was kind of sad to me though because Slade was so excited that Santa snuck into our house, ate the cookies, drank the milk, and brought gifts but, right after he said that he said I must be good now because Santa had never came to their mothers house before. We love them so much and we were so happy that we were able to do all the things this special season brings, and especially share the true meaning of Christmas day with them.

Slades big present was a wii. It was so cute because he had no idea he was getting one. Thats all he would say he wanted when anyone asked but, we had convinced him they were to expensive so not to be upset because gifts are fun to get but, thats not what Christmas is about, so anyhow it was great to suprise him!

Kaydes was a barbie glamour camper she loves that thing. She would play with her barbies all day if we would let her, I used to be the same way when I was little :)

Ok now please don't think badly of me this is the only time I have ever let them have a coke. I just liked the bulb bottle. Oh and don't ask me how I fit all those crafts in their stockings.

What snow angels on Christmas day is Altus, OK I can't remember us ever havng a white Christmas here. After they opened their gifts and ate breakfast we let them go play in the snow for a little bit, they had a blast !

The sun was shining so it was a great day to play in the snow!

She is growing to fast. Extremely beautiful and what a smile :)
